Naughty Boys

Last Wednesday night at 9:45 p.m. we all gathered round to say our family prayers before bed time and then everyone went to bed, well sort of. I went to tuck the boy's in and they were all gone. Paul snuck them out to go see IRON MAN they got home at 12:23 in the morning (on a school day) Oh little did they know I would stay up and catch them! (It's hard not to notice that Pauls gone) What was he thinking? Anyway I did not get MAD because how can get MAD at these little faces! I am glad they like to spend time togather no matter what time it is. even though your NAUGHTY sometimes !!!!! I still LOVE you!

It's GREAT to be a MOM!

My kids and Paul suprised me today with a NEW IPOD (my old one broke) and this CUTE PINK sweat outfit! I have the greatest kids they know what I like! But the best gift that I got today on Mothers Day is Riley was ordained a Teacher and listning to Paul speak in church he did such a wonderful job and even brought a couple tears to my eyes (which I guess isn't hard for me to do) I love being a Mom and I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father for blessing me with this wonderful calling of Motherhood. I am so grateful for my Children and for My wondurful husband Paul.

Mother's Day

I have the BEST Mom ever! In fact I think she is so GREAT that I have tried to follow in her footsteps which now is harder than I ever imagined. She had six kid's which might I add all were GIRLS which you know how girls emotions get and how we have to have our hair just so and outfits galore and not to mention how much girlies cost. She has always been a stay home Mom and still is in fact she is still so busy supporting us and our children going to 20 grandkids sports, programs, concerts or might I say blessings baptisms ect ect.... And than to add everytime one of us gets hurt or just when we need her to go to a doctors appointment with us because I am to scared she is alway's there! Now if thats not enough for the last 15 years she has all 38 of us in her home every Sunday for a full on Roast Mashed Potatoes and gravy and carrots. I have a hard time fixing that and keeping it warm for just the 8 of my family! I dont know how she does it but what I do know is that she loves me and our family and will do anything to keep our extended family close. Happy Mothers Day. I LOVE you MOM!

Kenzie Houghton

Our good friend and baby sitter Kenzie just had a bone marrow transplant. A week before she had surgery hundreds of people gathered round and had an Auction and dinner for her and donated many things to earn money for her to have this surgery. I was so impressed with the friends, family, Schools and communty that showed up to support her. She has a wonderful family and we love them and pray for Kenzie that all will go well. I was able to make it up to Primary Childrens to see her right before she had her surgery. I asked if I could get a picture of us and she wanted me to hop right in her bed. I asked her if she was scared and she said no ( I know her family was) but I am so grateful for her faith and attitude that I too believe she will be O.K. Love ya Kenz

Chloe's dance recital

Chloe and her friend Ally take dance together! Chloe loves to dance, sing, and cheer just like her older sister Brittany. She gets really shy though in a big group of people, and had a performance last night. She was really nervous and only wanted mom and dad to come. The whole family including grandma and grandpa Dunroe came. Chloe had no idea until after her first dance she did. Chloe also didn't know how big the crowd was going to be. We for sure thought that when she got on stage she would not do it, but she did!! She did so amazing, and smiled and performed like a star! Way to go Chloe!!! She performed to "Touchdown" and "Do you love me." She saw her dad out of the whole crowd, and pointed to him. After, her dad gave her roses, and took us all out to dinner at Applebees! Visit to see Gracie

Today Kristen and I went to visit Gracie. She is doing a little better and moved her to a different room (not so comfortable) but she gets to move to the third floor as soon as she gets over her infection. Then Michele Kristen and I went to lunch at Red Butte Gardens Cafe it was so yummy I had Orange chicken tacos they were really good! After we went to Bath and Body Works they were having a sale on soap so all three of us got stocked up. Anyway we had a great time catching up. I am thankful to have such great friends.

Bryce's Mother's Day program

Oh my goodness how lucky am I to go on another date! This time it was my turn with Bryce his class in school did a Mothers day program they sang acouple of songs and then each one of them payed a tribute to their Mom. Bryce's went something like this. My Mom is special because she is nice, shes funny, lovable, shes smart, shes the best Mom ever! I like it when she tickles me and teaches me my times tables! My Mom can so many things but I think she is best at making people smile! I like to make her smile by doing my chores. My Mom is as pretty as a orchid. My Mom is smart! she even knows her times tables. He read that and then gave me a written copy of it so these are his word. No wonder why I love him.

Today Brittany got her braces off! She has had them on for 18 months. After she got them off the first thing she wanted to enjoy on her teeth is you guessed it Cafe Rio! Here are her before and after pictures. Britt you look BEAUTIFUL!

Riley's Birthday

Holy COW! Riley is 14 years old! Oh no that is not possible last week it seems like I was just going to his first t-ball game. Riley I am so proud of you and all of your accomplishments that you have reached and accomplished at such a young age. You are a great example to me of how you stick to your goals and who you are and what you believe in thank you for being such a great son. O.k. I know I am usually not that mushy so will get back to the PARTY we had to celebrate it a day late because Riley was on a trip with his Grandma Kia Visiting his Aunts' Uncle's and Cousins in Atlanta So the day he got home we had a lot of games and he went to young mens this day but we still managed to have some time for cake and Ice-cream. Riley got golf-clubs and golf gloves. Happy 14th birthday Riley!

Bo's Soccer Game

Bo is so excited to play on a Soccer team. This year he's finally old enough to do what his older Brother's do but Bo is especially happy because he play's with his cousin Max and his Uncle Wiley is the Coach and his Dad is the assistant coach. He was so excited to play today because last week his game was cancelled due to the weather. Now everyday he asks Mom do I have a game today and I say no it's every thursday and saturday he wants it to be everyday! It seems like forever to him.

Lily's baby shower

My Mom and my sisters had a baby shower for my sister Lori who just adopted a little baby girl so we celebrated. we had soups and salads and to top it off strawberry shortcake. Lori recieved lots of fun cloths for Lily and a chandalier light to hang in Lily's room from My Mom and all of us sisters. I had so much fun and I am so happy for my sister Lori to add this special spirit to her family.

Backyard Sleep Out

O.K Paul has this old truck parked on the side of our house that we never use so the kids have been using it as their fort and club house. It has a shell on the back with a nice carpet kit in side. So all the kids except for Brittany and Riley (they are in Atlanta with Grandma Kia visiting their Cousins) slept out in the truck. They had treats and Paul read them stories. I just snuck out to take a picture and they are still awake! It's 11:15 p.m. they dont look like their going to sleep any time soon, but they sure look like they are having FUN! Paul is a GREAT DAD and always spends alot of time with them.

EagleCrest Mom and Son Sports Night

I had a fun date tonight with Rocky. We had such a great night we played sports. Although Rocky won me on soccer, push-ups sit-ups basketball I did win him at the ring toss and the scooter slide. We had a great time and had hot dogs and chips (I did'nt eat my hot dog though because I am on weight watchers and if I'm going to waste my calories on a hot dog I'm going to Costco.) Are date ended with Rocky getting my door for me and then a kiss! (Hey thats the best part of any date!) I LOVE YOU Rocky! Thank's for the FUN night out.
